The Custom Family
Since 1996 the Custom has been the most copied board in snowboarding. It now comes in three builds — same legendary outline, three very different rides. Pick the one that matches how you actually ride, then pick your size.
| Model | Bend | Flex | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Custom Camber | Camber | 4–7 | One board, whole mountain |
| Custom X | Camber | 7 | Going fast, charging hard |
| Custom Flying V | Rocker / Camber | Medium | Surfy, playful, soft snow |
Custom Camber 2027 — Faded · $679.95
Thirty-plus years of refinement and it still rides like it has something to prove. Traditional camber, directional shape, twin flex — balanced and snappy whether you are laying carves, boosting side hits, or hunting stashes. This is the benchmark every other all-mountain board gets measured against.
Twin Flex
Med-Aggressive
- Super Fly II™ 700G Core — stronger, lighter woods placed by zone for pop and strength with less weight.
- Dualzone™ EGD™ — wood grain runs perpendicular along the toe and heel edges for consistent edge hold.
- 45° Carbon Highlights — full tip-to-tail carbon layer that cuts weight and sharpens torsional feel toward the aggressive end.
- Frostbite Edges — edges extend slightly past the sidewall for extra bite on hardpack.
- Sintered WFO Base — wax infused deep into an extra-absorbent sintered material. Stays fast all season.
- Infinite Ride™ — broken in at the factory, so the flex and pop you feel on day one is what you get in March.
In stock: 150, 154, 154W, 156, 158, 158W, 162, 162W
Custom X Camber 2027 — Etched · $899.95
The hardest charging board Burton makes. Same camber and twin flex as the Custom, built with everything they have — a carbon-reinforced matrix that produces a stiffer, finer-tuned flex loaded with explosive energy. Weight sits evenly across the whole board for unbroken edge control tip to tail.
This is not a Custom with a different graphic. It is a step up in stiffness and price, and it wants to be ridden fast.
Twin Flex
- Dragonfly™ 600G Core — the strongest and lightest core Burton builds. This is the main difference you feel.
- Multizone™ EGD™ — end-grain woods placed in the impact zones for lighter weight without losing strength.
- 45° High Voltage Carbon Highlights — the carbon package that gives the X its snap and drive.
- Squeezebox — thicker and thinner core sections that push rider energy outward, energizing the tip and tail.
- Sintered WFO Race Base — the fastest base in the Custom family.
In stock: 156, 158, 158W, 162, 162W — one of each
Custom Flying V — White · $543.96
The Custom with a personality transplant. Rocker between the feet for surfy, effortless float; camber underfoot for the pop and edge hold to back it up. Same legendary outline, looser and a lot more playful — it finds fun in places the cambered Custom never thought to look.
Twin Flex
Playful
- Flying V™ — rocker zones between and outside the feet for playfulness and float, camber zones underfoot for crisp snap and edge control.
- Super Fly II™ 700G Core with Dualzone™ EGD™ and Squeezebox profiling.
- Pro-Tip™ — tapered tip and tail thickness cuts swing weight, so it throws around easier than the number on the topsheet suggests.
In stock: 150, 154, 156, 158, 158W, 162W, 166W — past season, priced accordingly
Sizing & Fit Help
- Weight matters more than height. Every one of these boards has a rider weight range — call us and we will pull the exact chart for the size you are looking at.
- Boot size decides wide or standard. Roughly US 11.5 and up wants a W. Toes and heels should sit just barely over the edges.
- Bindings: all of these mount on The Channel®. Works with every major binding brand, best with Burton EST. Channel inserts ship in the box — check the packaging before you throw it out.
- Warranty: 3 years on Burton boards with The Channel.
Still not sure? Come into Midway or Heber and we will stand you next to all three.
