The Eddy Current is Schwalbe's e-MTB specialist for all-mountain and enduro riding — the near-indestructible rear tire for everything from light-assist to full-power e-bikes. For 2026 it moves to a radial carcass, and the front/rear split is gone: this is the rear tread, now offered as the only version.
GRAVITY PRO construction
The newly developed GRAVITY PRO casing is the most robust in the range, built for rough use and heavier bikes. As the PRO version it adds an extra carcass layer for stability and puncture protection, plus APEX fabric reinforcement in the sidewall for maximum protection.
Why radial
The carcass threads are woven at a blunter angle, which lets the tire conform to the ground more precisely and puts a larger contact patch on the trail. The result is more grip, more cushioning, and more control.
Schwalbe recommends pairing it with a Magic Mary or Albert up front.
